Tiruchirappalli (also called Tiruchi or Trichy) is an ancient city in India's southern Tamil Nadu state. The Kaveri and Kollidam rivers flow around Srirangam Island, which is known for sacred Hindu sites Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, with intricately carved gopurams (towering gateways), and Jambukeswarar-Akilandeswari Temple, dedicated to the god Shiva. The Rock Fort Temple complex towers over the city center.

Rockfort Temple

Vayalur Murugan Temple
This temple is around 1200 years old and was built during the reign of Cholas. The temple was built by the Cholas in the 9th century AD. The temple is surrounded by lush green fields and located close to the Uyyakondan river. The gopuram of the temple was connected by the Hindu savant, Kirupanandha Variyar.

Arulmigu Boominathar Temple
Temple was built only by Thirumathi Pappammal & her brother Muthusamy Kunchitapatham Zamindar in after year 1900 there's no temple in this place till 19thcentury & stones were taken from own house hold of thirumathi pappammal & she asked thiruvaduthurai aatheenam to manage & donated 1000 acres in 1905 , approved by Nawab of Arcot.

Brahmapureeswarar Temple
There are separate shrines for Lord Brahmapureeswarar and Lord Brahmanayaki. A huge 6 feet long statue of Lord Brahma can be seen by the side of the Lord Shiva shrine. The 12 Shiva Lingas worshipped by Lord Brahma is also kept intact in this temple.

Thanjavur Big Temple
The Brihadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur, also known as the Big Temple, was built around 1010 AD by Chola king Rajaraja Chola I. It marks its 1000th birthday in 2010
Thanjavur temple height is 212 ft towering Shiva temple, which is home to one of the largest Shiva Lingas of the country. A great Nandhi Shrine (sacred bull), carved out of a single rock at 16 ft long & 13 ft high and standing tall at the entrance. This is the second largest Nandhi in India.
